On most Gen 3 vehicles, the constant heating and cooling flowing through the water pump, the factory plastic impeller deforms with heat and detaches from the metal rod it is attached. This causes the impeller to stop spinning and engine to overheat. The upgraded metal impeller eliminates that issue. The repair and replacement of a new plastic factory pump impeller could cost you well over $1000, which will ultimately fail once again many miles down the road. This upgraded impeller will outlive the factory plastic one many times over.

*** Note: The 4 bolts included to install this pump need to be tightened in sequence and torqued to 9 Nm.
