Placing the plate in the center of the bumper obstructs air flow to the radiator while also creating wind resistance. Mounting to the side requires drilling into and ruining your brand-new bumper. It mounts directly to the OEM tow hook location, allowing for a clean and seamless installation. We’ve angled the plate to match the lines of the bumper and mounted it securely using the factory tow hook location to improve aerodynamics and allow airflow through the cooling stack.
