Stock VW/Audi 2.0T FSI diverter valves, which bolt directly to the turbocharger housing, live shortened lives under the conditions you are likely to place on them: after an ECU upgrade, under increased boost pressures or when subjected to high temperatures. Forge Motorsport solves those problems with the easily installed, affordable Forge diverter valve, offered here by USP Motorsports.

The Forge DV is designed to do what any turbo diverter valve is supposed to: It seals under boost to prevent pressure loss, and when you throttle down it opens to release pressure. But Forge diverter valves also noticeably improve airflow, response and boost capacity compared with the stock VW diverter valve.

Why replace a stock GTI diverter valve that can’t stand up to the stresses of tuner modifications with an identical valve that’s also going to fail? That’s pointless. It’s also expensive. And sooner or later, the reduced reliability is going to come back to bite you in the driver’s seat — when the stock VW valve won’t hold full pressure, meaning your engine delivers less power on demand, and when the stock valve just quits. This Forge DV, product reference FMFSITVR-C, works with the 2.0T FSI engine in the VW Golf MK5 GTI/Jetta GLI, VW Eos, VW Passat (B6); Audi A3, Audi TT, Audi A4 (B7), and the SEAT Leon Skoda Octavia.
