September 19, 2009 USP Motorsports held its first annual show / bbq / dyno day called The Festival of Power and Shine. Eurotuner magazine was in attendance covering the show, and they finally got it published!! We can’t wait to do it again!!

USP Motorsports came, saw, and conquered EuroWarz 2010!! We showed with the largest display of products, came with the whole USP crew, and finished 1, 2 in the drag racing tournament!! The USP Porsche 996 Turbo ran a best time on the day of 10.55 @ 140 in 95 degree heat, and finished second in the finals to a USP Motorsports B6 S4 in the finals due to a minor mechanical malfunction. The second annual EuroWarz was a great event and shows a very bright future. We hope to see it grow more next year!

Hosted by the same people that bring you Euro FixxFest, this has been a great event in years past, with a very promising future! The new GHL exhaust systems have been a big hit at USP Motorsports. It really is hard to beat a good quality exhaust system for a German car at an affordable price! All GHL products are built using only the highest quality T-304 stainless steel. All tubes are precision mandrel bent, and everything is hand TIG welded by skilled craftsmen. Factory mounting locations are used wherever possible to insure a quality fit every time.

Systems are currently available for Volkswagen MKIV and MKV applications. 2.5″, 3″ systems in a single tip for the GLI’s, 337’s, and 20th Anniversary editions, as well as R32 style conversion exhaust setups for the MKV GTI, and Rieger body kit compatible exhaust systems are all manufactured by GHL and available through USP Motorsports!

APR’s RSC™ technology is now available for the MK6 GTI in their newest 2.0 TSI RSC™ Performance Exhaust System. Reflective Sound Cancellation allows for maximum exhaust gas flow while completely eliminating in cabin sound resonance (drone). RSC™ incorporates innovative technologies developed in conjunction with NASA. With limited use of packing materials and no baffles, RSC™ allows for a completely straight and free flowing exhaust path through the RSC™ mufflers. Reflective Cancellation bounces the undesirable sound waves into each other to attenuate the wave and completely eliminate the low frequency tones that create drone. The APR performance software upgrade for the 2010+ Volkswagen & Audi vehicles has finally been released, and is available here at USP Motorsports! In typical APR fashion, this ECU Upgrade is an expertly recalibrated reflash of the OEM ECU to produce an additional 40-68 hp and 74-90 lb ft of torque. Fuel economy, drivability and performance are Enhanced by APR’s Engineering Team with No Compromise.

APR’s Stage 1 for the newest generation 2.0 TFSI Engines features APR’s Patented EMCS calibration switching features that allow you to use your OEM equipped Cruise Control to select different situation specific calibrations and features giving you advanced control over your engine’s operation and enabling the ECU to perform special functions not made available by the OEM.

USP Motorsports will also be attending multiple road-course racing events with our E85 corn fed 700hp Porsche 996 Turbo, standing-mile runs, and European car events such as Euro Warz and Euro FixxFest. Look for our 500+whp GLI 1.8T to be riding along in the Gooseneck as well, trying for its first 10 second pass and be the first GLI 1.8T in the country to break that barrier!

Thanks to everyone who came out and supported us at the first annual Festival of Power and Shine at USP Motorsports. With over 130 VW’s and Audi’s in attendance, this event was a great success. We had our technician / former chef on the grill, the dyno rollers spinnings, and a full PA speaker system to list some of the highlights on the day. There were a handful of 400+ whp cars strapped down on the dyno including Joe’s modded V8 twin turbo RS6, turbo VR6 Jetta’s, and Antoan’s dyno shootout winning Audi S4 with a 3.0L engine, RS6 turbo’s and E85 fuel conversion putting down a grand total of 541awhp. There were some great raffle prizes given away including a free Mobil 1 oil change at USP Motorsports, a Turtle wax full detail kit, and a $100 gift certificate for use at USP.

Trophies were given out to the Dyno shootout winner, the best Audi, and the best VW in the show.
